It has been another successful season for our Club – not just for our regular team players, with individual wins in some Eastern Counties competitions this year, and holding their own against National Competition players, but for all our members both new and experienced, mixing together socially, playing pétanque in the most beautiful setting, and creating the unique ambience we enjoy at Ongar Pétanque.

"Thank you and your team of supporters for making Monday' s John Sear Petanque Triples such an enjoyable and extremely well organised event. Our two U3A teams were very nervous, prior to the event, being the first any of us had played in. We were made so welcome and felt at home very quickly. We look forward to next year's event !" Hutton U3A, Bronze Runners Up 2026

"Hi Carolyn - I could not write before to thank you for this amazing day at Ongar. It was the best gift you could offer me, without forgetting the delicious cake ! All our 9 players were very happy to participate in this tournament mixing different levels. The organisation was amazing ..a big Bravo to all people who helped you. " Chalkwell PC, John Sear Challenge Silver Runners Up 2026.
